Valerie Frank-Solórzano has over 13 years experience in the US mortgage industry. She has worked for banks, brokers, and lenders. Her experience ranges from opening, staffing, and operating two mortgage brokerage shops to owning her own mortgage company. In the early 80s, Valerie lived for more than five years in Costa Rica when her parents served in the US Foreign Service. Married to a Costa Rican citizen, Valerie recently returned to the country to pursue opportunities in her field. The timing was perfect with the global economy, Costa Rica’s recent legislation, and the serendipitous meeting of her business partner. She is fluent in several languages giving her a distinct advantage in working with English, Spanish, and Portuguese speaking investors.

Randall Hernandez Marin graduated from the University of Costa Rica, majoring in Political Sciences. He has worked for The United Nation’s University for Peace, in the Development Program and later held a position of Adviser for several congressional representatives in Costa Rica’s Legislative Assembly. As the liaison between the Legislative Assembly and various government institutions, Randall developed keen skill in finding financial sources to fund community development programs, which he implemented and trained local representatives continue the programs.

In 2001, he began buying and selling foreclosure properties on a part time basis, with an initial investment of only $2000 and realized a profit of $40,000 in very short time. He continued reinvesting and through trial and error learned firsthand how to buy, fix and flip the profitable way. Through his experience, he developed a much sought after spreadsheet of the foreclosure information, which he offered for sale to other investors.
